More than 16 years ago, Angela offered Christopher his first internship in the fashion industry. What began as a mentorship evolved into a lasting friendship and creative partnership built on trust, shared values, and a shared passion for product.
Over the years, their professional paths remained closely connected, collaborating across brands and supporting one another through different stages of life and career. Today, they have come full circle, combining their experience, creativity, and leadership through AF Studio 11 to help brands build meaningful collections from concept through production.
Angela Furlong
Co-Founder | Creative Director
Angela Furlong is a Creative Design Director and product leader with more than four decades of experience building contemporary and premium apparel brands.
Her career includes leadership positions with Guess, Lucky Brand, Citizens of Humanity, Gap, True Religion, J Brand, Joe’s Jeans, Sundance, Michael Stars, and numerous emerging brands.
Known for her expertise in fabric development, fit, wash, construction, and full collection architecture, Angela combines creative vision with hands-on leadership and mentorship.
A former founder and owner of Blue Dot Clothing, she understands every stage of the product lifecycle from concept through retail.
Christopher Lester
Co-Founder | Design Director
Christopher Lester is a Design Director with more than 16 years of experience leading men’s apparel design across denim, sportswear, performance, lifestyle, and outerwear categories.
His experience includes leadership roles at True Religion and building brands from concept through launch.
Christopher specializes in trend translation, collection development, fabric innovation, wash development, technical execution, and digital presentation.
He is recognized for creating commercially relevant product that balances creativity, craftsmanship, and market demand.

We love the energy of the design room, mills, wash houses, and sew facilities. We believe great collections begin with a strong point of view and are brought to life through thoughtful design, exceptional fabric, beautiful fit, and attention to detail.
Throughout our careers, we’ve had the opportunity to build brands, launch collections, mentor talented teams, and partner with founders, CEOs, merchants, product developers, patternmakers, and makers at every stage of the process. What continues to inspire us is helping transform ideas into meaningful product that resonates with customers and strengthens brands.
